Claim to Fame:  Chris shot to fame when he co-starred with Brooke Shields in the film 'Blue Lagoon.' Most people think this was his very first role, but he did have a small role as a guest star on the TV show 'The Streets of San Francisco.'

Family Life:
Has 2 children, a son named Grant and a daughter named Brittney Bomann. Brittney is also an actor who has acted in three films.

He married ex-model Lynne Barron in 1985... they have recently divorced.

Straight out of Dennison University, Atkins gained a brief burst of fame by being cast as Brooke Shields' "amour" in the soft-core 1980 remake of The Blue Lagoon. He then went on to co-star with Kristy McNichol in The Pirate Movie (1981) a disappointing update of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance. Christopher Atkins virtually disappeared from view after this, only to resurface in direct-to-video productions at the end of the 1980s.

Trivia:
Owns his own outdoor sports company and has patented his own fishing lure.

Was teaching sailing in Rye, New York when he landed his first role as Richard in The Blue Lagoon (1980).



Hit #71 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 1982 with the song "How Can I Live Without Her", which appeared in the film 'The Pirate Movie'

Has had four knee operations.

Christopher loves getting sports figures autographs for his son.

Baseball was Chris's first love before he landed the his role in 'The Blue Lagoon'

Collects sculptures of fish and sea life. He also collects bones, skulls, and fossils.

Chris' all-time favorite candy is Goldenberg's Peanut Chews.

Where is He Now:  Can be seen on Sci-Fi Original Movie
'Caved-In' currently airing. Also has some other movies that he is working on. Most will probably be for TV or straight to DVD.

Films a reality show called 'Celebrity Adventures'

Has written a screenplay which he is trying to get off the ground... Called 'Bangers'
